Our presentation at St. James' Primary school
Second presentation, so Nerves weren't as high! I was there really early so had time to go through it all! We had a few hitches before the start, but once we got going, the assembly was brilliant. We played a video and used similar actions to the first assembly I did (as we thought they were effective the first time)! The school is now interested in classroom sessions! Our presentation at Upton Cross Primary School
It was my first presentation, so we were really nervous! First, we presented infront of the younger years. We talked about various actions such as recycle old toys, make someone smile, avoid using plastic bags and turning off appliances from the wall. Our main action was to walk your dad! We played the presentation for the action and it went down really well! Once the assembly was over, we introduced a programme for the school to undertake. On the action of "walk your dad", we proposed to give every child a pedometer and an additional one for a grown- up at home! Within 2 weeks, the class with the most steps win a prize! The school council arranged how they could test this and if it would work. All in all, they were all very excited! We then did the same assembly for the older years, which went well apart from one hitch with the presnentation! All in all, a very successful first presentation :)The day I walked in to school with a sling..for a broken pinky finger!
Lets just say, the dramatic tale of how I broke my little finger did get laughs all day! I laughed at myself most of the time!Writing to My Friend in France!
Texting and calling to abroad isn't cheap and I rarely get to speak to my friend who live miles and miles away in South France. So I wrote a letter to her talking about everything thats happening with me and asking about whats going on where she is! We now send eachother letters once a week! I love it as I miss her, but now we talk regularly now! :)
