The average bath uses a whopping 80 litres of water.
Save water. 80 litres a go. And have fun. Just get out before everything becomes wrinkled.

The more the merrier!
There is no sane reason why each person should have fresh bath water. We always share a bath.I love the fact this action also has the "add picture" link - like I'm really gonna post a piccie of me and the mrs in the tub!

ANGRY and very disappointed
I found the images in action 8 very disturbing for they are not appropriate for younger children as this book is aimed at an audience of children and teenagers... I mean have you seen the front cover!I read this book in school and I'm a big fan and enjoyed reading it but HOPE you don't include any inappropriate images including these ones again.
Thank you 02 March 2010, 18:46

Re: disappointed
Hi Lola
Thank you for your message and we are sorry that you are disappointed in the illustration used for action 8.
While the book and our organisation's ethos of small actions done by lots of people adding up to big social and environmental change is without question a message for people of all ages, the book itself was originally designed for adults.
We aim to present social and environmental issues in a style which is fresh, original, quirky, surprising, creative and challenging - in short, in a way which is different from the way we normally receive these messages. The "bath action" has served to get people talking and thinking about issues in a slightly different way.
We do have a children's book, Teach Your Granny to Text, which includes 30 actions children can do and we are just about to relaunch it under a new title so keep your eye out for that.
Thanks for your continued support!

disappointed
Disappointed in Action 8
I will have to glue shut the Action 8 pages due to the inappropriate graphics used here… come on, you could’ve portrayed two young siblings (4 & under) of any sex… then these books could’ve been shared with a wider audience in mind.
I like this book and hope that you will publish another one someday (and please be mindful of our youth).
signed still a fan of we are what we do

'Change the World for a Fiver' in the news....
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1085069/Try-new-today---blundering-Sainsburys-gives-booklet-sex-positions-year-olds.html
Crumbs! Who would have thought that four years after we published it, Change the World for a Fiver would still be making news! Thanks very much to everyone who has written in defense of our little book which along with its sequel Change the World 9 to 5 (actions to do at work to change the world - you should see what we suggest you do at your office Christmas party!) has sold one million copies worldwide and led to other great projects like the "I'm not a plastic bag" collaboration with Anya Hindmarch. Change the World for a Fiver isn't a children's book and it was a mistake to give to kids - but it was a well intentioned mistake and it won't happen again so hopefully we can leave it at that. Incidentally, we have produced a book which IS for children - it's called Teach Your Granny to Text & Other Ways to Change the World - for kids, by kids - and if you're quick, you can still grab a copy for Christmas.
No stick figures in baths. Promise.
14 November 2008, 15:03I bathed with my baby this morning!
My sweet little baby boy (who is almost 2)does not enjoy taking baths, so this morning I got into the tub with him. He completely enjoyed the warmth of the water, the security of his mommy holding him, and our bonding time together. Plus we saved water by bathing together! Hooray! 02 August 2008, 22:15
Makes sense
Ok. so I have cheated slightly here- I don't actually get in the bath with my beloved, but we do share the water. My two sons also use the same water between the two of them. None of us are so disgustingly dirty that the other is going to come out of the bath dirtier than we went in, so why not? 09 April 2008, 09:33
Candles to conserve
I'm sure most of you have considered this when taking a bath with a lover, but instead of having the lights on during your bath, place candles around the ledge and in the bathroom (being careful, of course!) to illuminate the room instead of wasting energy with lights. And who doesn't look good in candlelight?? :)
