Over 350 million trees are cut down every year for the paper that's used in UK offices alone. So much for the so-called paperless office which everyone was writing all-staff memos about a few years back. And then there's the paper we use in schools, and homes, and in all those funky notepads we only use the first page of. Let's create a culture in which we make it socially unacceptable to use only one side of the paper.

Printing and recycling
We print (when needed) both sides. One side printed papers are stored to right reminders and drafts. 04 February 2010, 14:19did this

Its rather simpe all you need to do is flip the page over once using one side of the paper.Collect it in a box
In our office we have a box where we collect all old print-outs which everyone can use (and uses) as scribbling paper! So easy and so efficient! 30 November 2009, 12:30

I use both sides of a piece of paper, then if needed use it as a book mark. I use envelops to write on before putting them in recycling. I really try to use up everything before recycling - Didn't realise I was this obsessed with it until coming onto this site and writing down everything I do!!! 28 October 2009, 14:112 Sides :D

I use both sides of the paper when I am doddeling or drawing or writing. I think this saves the trees from being cut down and its better for the enviroment 20 February 2009, 12:40
Make a Marginal Difference
Here's a neat idea: Change the default margin settings for your office printer - use less paper (but use both sides)and save trees.

Xmas shopping lists
Being the office newbie, I well and truly failed in using the manual feed function on the printer on Friday... and ended up with 7 one sided letters that were useless! Feeling very guilty, I took them home, ripped them into neater A5 sheets and spent the weekend writing (14) lists on the reverse. As a result, I've given my boyfriend a big list of chores to do (!), I'm now surprisingly organised for this time of year, and have started an interesting list of things to do before I'm 30! :-) 26 November 2007, 17:30
