I make a chocolate sponge cake on many occasions for friends and family.I use chocolate powder to make the sponge chocolatey. Then I top it with cooking chocolate and decorate with smarties. I've had no complaints :P 06 April 2010, 16:44

i do this 17 March 2010, 13:11Happy birthday Emma!
I was trying to make brownies for the first time, so i did it for my friend Emma's birthday! It was better to give them away than eat them all myself, right?! She said they were 'lush' and has demanded more. 14 March 2010, 14:50Raw Chocolate
well its not exactly baking but it has the same effect if not better..i have been making raw chocolate... which requires minimum energy input other than love and care.. and its much healthier for you as there is nothing processed in it or sugary... and then the divine chocolate gets given to friends... and there smiles are wonderful... joyous chocolate and healthy.. what more could one ask for
Blueberrry Muffins
I baked muffins for my History class at university I hope we all learnt more than about muffins. 13 March 2010, 17:41Bake something for a friend
My friend had been having a real tough time the past few weeks so i decided to bake her soem cookeis they turned out really good and she was ever so pleased it really cheered her up and cheered me up 2! :) x 12 March 2010, 19:59New home cakes
We baked lemon and blueberry frians and chocolate and walnut brownies for our friends who have just moved into a new house. We took them round to eat during a break from painting and diy... though they don't have a kettle yet so no tea :( When we finished we realised the walnuts were best before July 09... ooops! 01 March 2010, 10:02Baking for My Boyfriends Grans Birthday
I made her a cake with my boyfriends little sister, then we iced "Happy 70th Birthday Rita" on the top, it was a chocolate fudge cake and took us about an hour and half to make. Tasted really nice though! 09 February 2010, 14:456 months picnic
for our 6 months celebrations, i prepared a little picnic for my boyfriend. we had candles and a blanket and a basket and some food and JELLY! it doesn't really count as baking, but it's the best i can do! 07 February 2010, 16:47Cakes and cookies
Giving a home-made cake or cookies for a party says so much more than a bought gift. It says; hey, I've been thinking about you and I wanted to make you something, invest some time and effort. With Christmas on the doorstep it's time again for some nice evenings and parties with friends. For them I baked a chocolate-twist cake, a garlic and olive bread and banana cupcakes. Because I live quite far away, these pastries have travelled all over the country with me, and I can tell you, you see quite some surprised faces when travelling with 70 cupcakes! A great way to connect as well!
I Done It!
hi, i done this,i burnt the bread though and failed badly,
aww well. 23 October 2009, 12:43
Homemade bread is sooo much better!
Daisy and I are keen bakers! We are always chucking random ingredients together to see how they taste...Yesterday I randomly made banana cake (because I had some over ripe banans) and fed it to my friends... Nothing like a piece of hot cake and cup of tea! :-) (None of them have died yet...)
Daisy also loves baking, although it can get very messy! ;-)
I've started making bread, and truly, eating REALLY fresh bread with jam and butter is one of the most comforting things you can do...
Brownie disaster #03 not such a disaster after all
Brownies turned into a sponge cake in the oven.Tastes quite good, if a little eggy!
Brownie disaster #03
Found another box of eggs, but with two missing, meaning I'd put the eggs in after all. Now I've over-egged the pudding, literally! 28 June 2009, 18:58Brownie disaster #02 averted!
Whipped the brownies out of the oven, whisked two eggs in. Disaster averted. 28 June 2009, 18:57Brownie Disaster #2
Put brownies in the oven.Found a full box of eggs on the sideboard, so realised I must have forgotten to put them in. 28 June 2009, 18:56
Brownie disaster #1
Forgot to put the eggs in - came out of the oven in the form of chocolate flavoured wet sand. Bit gritty! 28 June 2009, 18:55Yummy
Muffins - how yummy and easy to make! Good present. 12 March 2009, 11:33
Good for me- good for them
I made a lemon drizzle cake to take to a meeting that was going to be a bit boring. Watching everyone else tuck in and enjoy my offering made me feel so good. It seemed to cheer up my colleagues too. A really simple way to brighten a day! 09 April 2008, 09:37
Christmas gifts
I have decided not to buy any gifts this year & have started to make my own. This is to save money & to show people that that I love them more then going to the shops & buying rubbish!!
I'm a terrible cook but have managed to make pickled onions, chutney & have just made 4 Christmas cakes. Made friends are looking forward to their hampers & I have asked for homemade gifts from them. We are calling this a green Christmas!!!

Apple Cake with Passionfruit Icing
My brother left for France on the weekend with a new job so for his farewell dinner I made him his favourite cake as we haven't had it for years. It was worth all the effort just to see his face light up when it was bought out! And it tasted even better knowing that most of the ingredients had come from the local market! 27 November 2007, 07:42
Festive cakes for your neighbours
At christmas I bake or rather attempt to bake cakes for the people in my local area. It gives me chance to demonstrate my cake skills or lack of, but also to go round to all my neighbours and wish them a Merry Christmas. 27 November 2007, 07:27
